چکیده

This paper presents a tool, which can be described as an expert system shell specialized for the application domain of checking electronic hardware designs with respect to a set of design rules. The shell has been used successfully to represent various kinds of design rules and to check real integrated circuit designs. We will first discuss concept of application specific shell in general. Then we describe the application domain of design rule checking and the specialized shell that we have implemented in SICStus Prolog. Finally, the results of a usability evaluation are presented and discussed.

A Bim Assisted Rule Based Approach for Checking of Green Building Design

ABSTRACT: Since the publication of green building standards from the last decade, the designer of green buildings have often encountered the challenges of limited time but considerable complexity in the process of evaluating their design according to the rules specified in the standards. Also, the design process is usually an iterative one, which includes rule-checking tasks that are tedious an...

An Edge-Endpoint-Based Configurable Hardware Architecture for VLSI CAD Layout Design Rule Checking

Design rule checking (DRC) is an important step in VLSI design in which the widths and spacings of design features in a VLSI circuit layout are checked against the design rules of a particular fabrication process. In the past, some efforts to build hardware accelerators for DRC have been proposed, but these efforts were hobbled by the fact that it is often impractical to build a different rule-...

Introducing a Mashup-Based Approach for Design-Time Compliance Checking in Business Processes
